Hello All,

I don't know if this will be my last post or not - I may keep posting to my blog, as sort of a journal of sorts, you never know. Professor Feraldi? The celebration of fall at my cousins is the last weekend in September, we peel apples on that Friday, make and jar the apple butter on Saturday, and relax Saturday evening with food, music and drink. An all around fun time! On to business.

What areas do I think strengthened in the last two weeks?

Every area of writing is where I strengthened. Research is the key, and I didn't do enough, until the end. I had Comp I the prior term and did very poorly. I have never written a research paper before, I have always written a paper on what I know in my own words. This paper was a new experience for me. The sad part of it is that is shouldn't have been a new experience considering that I took Comp I. The teacher we had was horrible and I did not get anything out of it. Thank God for Professor Nancy! The outline was simple and I actually now understand what a Thesis statement is, imagine that!

What areas still need improving?

Since I have written only two research papers, both this term, I need practice, practice, practice. I am not sure what Anatomy and Physiology II involves, but I am sure there will be a paper. Just what I need, more Practice!

My final thoughts?

Wow! That is basically all that I can say. My experiences so far at Kaplan have been great! I can not thank my professors enough. We write everyday and how we write reflects a lot of things about us. It is important to be able to accurately communicate your thoughts and views to others, especially in your job. If you write poorly, people tend to think that you are uneducated, that is not necessarily true. If an employer has two equally qualified applicants for the same job, but one of the applicants has several misspelled words and improper punctuation in their resume, who do you think he will hire?

I have been given the chance to return to school and I don't intend to waste it, nor should you!

Well those are my final thoughts and I will take what I have learned and use it in my future classes and eventually in my future job.

Thank you Professor Feraldi!

Hey Everyone,

In my last post I said that fall was fast approaching and it sooooo is. Here in Missouri, Labor Day Weekend is going to be beautiful, at least that is what the Weather Man says. The highs are going to range from 76-82 - Cool and clear! I love it!

Unfortunately I have to work the entire weekend, so I will not get to enjoy any of it. I take that back my cousin is having his Labor Day/Birthday bash on Sunday, so I will at least be outside and with family on that day, just not at the River with the other side of my family.

Every year my cousins, who live in a small town in Missouri named Steelville, celebrate Fall with an apple butter making, hay riding, karaoke, party. It is so much fun and I get to see some cousins that I haven't seen in a long time and also some that I have never met.

Our town, Owensville, Missouri, celebrates Fall with a car show on main street, church supper at the Catholic Church, dances and of course Karaoke at the local taverns. Since my Brother-In-Law's tavern (Bogey's) is on Main Street we get a lot of business and I have to work. I really don't mind though, in fact I look forward to it every year.

Fall is my very favorite time of year, followed closely by Winter.

What does your family or town do to Celebrate Fall? Let me know.

Thanks for taking the time to read this, I appreciate it.
