Hello! Labor Day is fast approaching with Fall coming right behind it. I can not believe that summer is quickly coming to a close and I have been on the river only twice! I just can't believe how quickly this year is going, for Gosh Sakes it is almost Christmas!

I am really looking forward to cooler weather though, can't wait! This summer has been horrible in Missouri, so humid and temperatures up in the 100's.

My kids are getting into the swing of school life and so am I. I am anxious about the end of this school term at Kaplan, the final projects are due within the next week and I hope and pray that my projects will earn a good grade. So I will be very busy after today.

Work has been busy plus I bartend for my brother-in-law on occasion and I will be working there all of the Labor Day Weekend, so much for going to the river, oh well maybe I'll sneak down the following weekend.

I am sure everyone else is just as busy!

Thanks to those of you who actually read my blog and I will see you all next week.

We meet again! My professor reminded me that I had not posted on my blog last week, so therefore I got a zero in that unit. You know how you think you did something and then you find out you didn't, Yeah well that is where I was last week. Anyway, I think I learned my lesson.

I told you all about my nephew being in the finals for the Little League World Series, well they lost their second game against Georgia. They played a great game and it was so exciting to see my nephew on TV playing ball.

Just a note on where I am with Kaplan.

I have been doing pretty good in both of my classes, Comp II (except with the blog thing) and Anatomy and Physiology I. Tonight ends Unit 7, which means we have 3 more units to go until the term ends. I then have A&P II and Software applications (whatever that is). I just get to know my professors and then it is over! I am really learning a lot and I have enjoyed every minute of it. I have another year (or thereabouts) to go until I get my degree. I am really excited.

Tonight we start bowling, and I am looking forward to it. My one night a week out!

Everyone,

Have a great week and I will talk to you later!

Well Hello Again!

I know this isn't much of a blog, but I am trying. Some interesting news that I received today. My nephew, Jimmy Cawley, is going to be on ESPN2 Wednesday at 5:00 p.m. (CSt). He is on a little league team in Florida and they are playing North Carolina. He is an amazing ball player now, at the age of 12, I can only imagine how Amazing he will be in his high school and beyond years. I understand that the pitcher of Jimmy's team is 6' tall and he is always questioned as to his age (he really is just 12).

My sister Becky has 5 kids and last summer they made a trip to China to pick up their 5th child, a little girl named Neenee. She is totally awesome and my sister blogged the whole time so that we could all be a part of the event. Her other two boys are also amazing athletes and whenever they come to visit, no one is inside! On Thanksgiving we have a football game with the adults and kids and a trophy is given to the winner, who then has to keep it all year and then pass it on the next year.

As usual I am just pressing it with my posts, as it is Tuesday.

Thanks for reading this and if anyone gets to watch the game tomorrow night, let me know what you think.

Another Week

With the Fair going on this past week and weekend, it was hard to get my school work done. So at 9:40 p.m. on Tuesday, I am still working on homework. I, however, have enjoyed my week. I learned so much this week in both of my classes and I wish I was Dumbledore (from Harry Potter movies) so that I could take some memory strands out of my head to make room for more learning.

This term at Kaplan is going so fast, that I can barely catch my breath from unit to unit. I have never done this before, at least on line and I just can't explain what I feel when I open my text book and get ready for seminar. It's not just that I am excited, I guess it is a feeling of working towards an attainable goal. I never really did that, I think I just let life happen, instead of trying to make it go my way (to a little extent). It is quite a feeling!
